I have ridden since a young age, despite none of my family having a background in horses, but it was something I loved from the first time I sat on a horse! As you can imagine this made everything a lot harder, with horses being a very expensive hobby! However, after watching every Olympia, Horse of the Year Show and Hickstead I was determined that maybe one day that would be me on the TV with another young girl, just like myself, watching and dreaming!

After many years of riding school lessons, loan ponies and a lot of persistence, I finally convinced mum and dad to buy me my very own pony, Didi. He was a 3 year old, just backed New Forest pony who had been bought for £18 at the New Forest Auctions as a foal! He had never been to a show and hardly jumped, but that didn't bother me. With lots of hard work, Pony Club lessons, and help from my second mum Barbara Monckton, I went on to win all sorts with Didi, including hunter trials, pony club events and showjumping classes. After a couple of years I outgrew Didi and sold him onto a friend.

My next pony was truely a one in a million! He was a 5 year old Connemara pony, who again had done very little but as soon as I saw him I knew he was the one. Everyone say hello to Bongo!

Bongo was a legend, everyone loved him, he never put a foot wrong and he is definitely the one that taught me everything. I went from jumping 2'3" to jumping my first BSJA show, representing my Pony Club on numerous teams and winning more rosettes than I can count!

Unfortunately the day would come when I outgrew Bongo, so reluctantly 3 years later I had to sell him in order to buy my current horse Warendorf, who would later take me on to competing in classes I had only dreamed of...
